The last few months have been tough but it looks like Ill be around for a few more trips around the sun.
Hospital food is brutal.
And why is Fox News allowed to spread their lies? They should be outlawed.

(77,851 posts)It really is a toxin to America, our democracy, and to decency. Btw Fox is to journalism what
Greg Gutfield is to comedy or what the snow is on a Hallmark Xmas show. It really needs to
be banned in its current form.
It has gotten America and the world into real shit.

Because right now certain parts of me arent working and I would hate it if I can no longer be Dr. loving
Mcstrong stuff. She still owes me for Cheboygen, bark park, and Guy le Flaur along w tons of other
Stuff she always has used and never said thank you one time. Hollywood grifter.

(179,341 posts)That must have been one hell of a case of COVID. I hope that your recovery is going well.
Botany
(77,851 posts)I came close to buying the farm but family and friends along with medical people brought me back. I am learning to walk again and who needs a gall bladder anyway? I am on a new state of the art walker and
now can walk on my own for a bit with more coming.
Looking forward to getting out of the nursing home asap.
greatauntoftriplets
(179,341 posts)Lots of people have no gall bladder. You just have to learn what you can and cannot eat afterwards. Some people don't have any issues, from what I've heard. Family and friends (plus the medical professionals) are critical to recovery. You need encouragement to believe that you'll eventually return to life as you know it.
Learning to walk again isn't easy. I went through that some years ago after a bout of pancreatitis. Seriously, I don't know how I stayed upright for a couple of weeks in there because I was so damned weak. To this day, I'll never forget the PT who got me walking again. He was great.
Hospitals and nursing homes are not good places to recover. A doctor once told me that. Have they given you a timeline for your release? Have a better new year with all of this behind you.

(77,851 posts)I saw one faux spot on C-19 that said something about not buying into mRNA a little bit ago
along with some anti Dr. Fauci lies. That shit should be behind us now except for mouth breathers
who dont get vaccinated and become hosts of the virus so it can develop new strains of the disease.

Sometimes I think hospitals don't even try to make their food better as incentive for patients to get the heck out of there.
They could do it, too. The two nearest hospitals to us have very good cafeteria food. But, that doesn't apply to the patients.

(114,666 posts)I've sampled the cuisine in all the hospitals here in this city and they're all good, the nutritionists having discovered onions, garlic and chiles so the unsalted food packs a flavor punch. Rehab had a restaurant chef on weekdays, a little Mexican grandma on weekends. Yum.
If you absolutely insist on getting sick, this is a good place to do it. Hospital food does n't suck, except for the night staff.
Glad you survived lousy food and you're back.

(2,274 posts)Too bad about the hospital food where you were. I spend a week or so every few months in the V.A. hospital here and their food is excellent, yes you read that right lol. I usually end up gaining a pound or so when I'm there.

Jan. 4th 2001 the morning blond on Fox, lots of people still have doubts about the election. Aka go
ahead and try to overthrow our government to keep Trump out of jail and as a dictator too.
