(61,033 posts)as eloquent a political wordsmith that he is, he keeps hooking up with pols that he later regrets backing...Caribou Barbie, Starbucks guy, Dean Phillips...come on Schmidt, what the fuck is up with you?
I thought Caribou Barbie's word salad had permanently shocked your senses against backing weirdo candidates.
Now I have to give the side eye to your pronouncements and Lincoln Project videos.

(113,202 posts)One of the co-founders, John Weaver was forced out after his sexual harassment was exposed. Schmidt and several others left around that time--Schmidt, apparently feeling responsible for recruiting Weaver. Again, that judgment thing.
But, Lincoln Project-- for whatever issues some may have--has NOTHING to do with Schmidt and has not for nearly three years.

(2,708 posts)Look, I like Steve Schmidt, he's a good orator and sounds hella reasonable at times, but he's a leopard. His spots won't change. I understand the need to make money being on Phillip's team, but our democracy is on the line here. Why not support our nation's best chance to put down the opposition to it? Trump already told the world what he plans to do on day one if he wins.
