(114,423 posts)I usually recognize and can appreciate the faces, names, & accomplishments of maybe a few dozen. This year I have to think I know more than 80% and the numbers seem staggering in all of these 'lists" and video tributes.
I guess we are just reaching that peak for a significant couple of generations and of course cancer, drug overdoses, automobile accidents, and suicide can affect those of any age. Sigh...

(6,669 posts)that someone had posted here. But the more I thought about it the more I convinced myself that I was likely thinking the same thing last year at this time. We're losing so much Boomer-aged talent these days, the people that I grew up watching, that maybe it is just resonating more.
