Haley and DeSantis offer Trump blanket pardon for nothing in return.

He doesn't have to say, "I'm sorry". He doesn't have to say, "I was wrong". He doesn't have to say, "I will never do it again".

He doesn't have to agree to pull out of the race and to never run for office again.

He doesn't have to agree to stop tearing down our government and our institutions and fomenting violence amongst his followers.

He doesn't have to give an inch.

And they will give him a blanket pardon.

They can't save his fat orange ass from civil liability to E. Jean Carroll or the State of NY. And then maybe they should hold a seance, call up the ghost of Gerald Ford, and ask him what pardoning Nixon did to his chances for a second term. Those two vipers are too ambitious to risk their future careers on something as controversial as pardoning Trump. People were outraged when Ford pardoned Nixon, and pardoning Trump would be exponentially worse.

Also, they understand that if Trump goes under, they all go under. The Republican Party will sink like the Titanic.
