The arrivals in the New York area come as US-Mexico border authorities in December encountered more than 225,000 migrants, the highest monthly total recorded since 2000, according to preliminary Homeland Security statistics shared with CNN.

Many are fleeing govt. oppression, gangs and/or climate change.

Birth rates in the Developing World have been high for decades. It's not just that the economy in those nations "stinks"; it simply isn't large enough to provide work for so many new humans.

... employers begging for workers, one of the least dense populations in the world and at least 2nd or 3rd best standard of living.

I'll be glad to document any one of those claims.
