(3,944 posts)Because at any given moment there is one and only one person in the world who is qualified to be president of Harvard. They interviewed all the possibilities, and this guy was head and shoulders above the rest.
Thank the white Baby Jesus that we're finally getting past the rampant discrimination against straight white males that has so characterized this nation.

(7,029 posts)of the same. What is important is that all groups have a fair opportunity and the numbers of women and minorities increases. I'd rather see 10 more corporate CEOs from excluded groups than one more university opening.
And I would rather see more good ones than another Clarence Thomas who only shows that the wrong person is just that (not meaning to compare the two).
