Under no circumstance will the GOP/RNC allow Republicans to be framed as "the bad guy" in the popular narrative. It destroys the entire premise of their party, which is "us" - the good guys - versus everyone else(the bad guys). They have finally come full circle to the point where committing crimes is "ok" as long as the crimes are being committed in the name of "the good guys" and against everyone else. Ends justify the means and everything, right?

This is where we are. Otherwise, all it took was the GOP standing up in mass and condemning Trump and throwing him on the trash pile of history back in 2021. But it would have destroyed the narrative....
