TFG is planning to attend next week's appeals court arguments on the immunity issue

I hope that TFG attends this oral argument. TFG will see if the lame arguments advanced by TFG's attorneys are rejected by these judges
https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trump-expected-attend-appeals-court-arguments-presidential-immunity/story

In a related development, Trump is planning to attend next week's appeals court arguments on his efforts to dismiss the case based on his claim of presidential immunity, multiple sources familiar with the matter tell ABC News.

The plans are not set in stone and could shift, sources said.

Trump attending arguments would mark the first time he has been to the federal courthouse in Washington, D.C., since his arraignment back in August. Arguments are scheduled to occur three days after the three-year anniversary of the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, which sits just blocks away from the courthouse.

You don't get to speak unless spoken to, and they won't be asking him any direct qquestions.

He is there to make a scene outside the courthouse. That is all. If he tries it inside he will be ejected or worse.

Most of the time the parties aren't even present. The only issues normally addressed in an appeal have to do with whether the lower court answered questions of law correctly. There's no reason at all for TFG to be there except to call attention to himself outside the courthouse, and maybe he thinks he can intimidate the judges (he can't).

The judges ask the questions. The lawyers answer. Sure, they get a few minutes for opening comments, but only the lawyers.

Stinky would only be an observer and would not be called on to speak.

At least, he'll sit there with his arms folded and his scary face and he'll harrumph and snort and draw as much attention to himself as possible, and he'll hold a "press conference" on the courthouse steps.

Engage in unruly outbursts. And it would be funny if the press weren't there in any measurable number to deny him to opportunity to do his thing.

He will show up using his motorcade. Then, his SS detail will have to be accommodated. He will appear to still be the President. Before and after he'll have a press conference.

There is no reason for him to show up there except to intimidate the Court. If he opens his mouth, they should have a bailiff show him the door. But, I suspect they will not. Does he think they will ask HIM a question? LOL!

That if he shows up, then the court will either be so dazzled by his mere presence, or so intimidated, that they'll rule how he wants.

He's in for a very rude awakening.

In TFG's last filing in the immunity appeal, TFG's attorneys cited a truth social post that cited a "study" with no author or authorities that purported to prove that there was voter fraud. I checked and the citation of this truth social post was not in the table of authorities in the filing. The so-called study would never be introduced into evidence in the trial and I am shocked that the second/third tier attorneys representing TFG would file this "study" in a filing to the DC Court of Appeals.

It seems that others in the TFG inner circle are not happy with the citation of this fake study.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/01/06/trump-debunked-report-election-advisers/

Former president Donald Trump took to his social media website one day this past week to post a report ridden with falsehoods about fraud in the 2020 election. And his legal team cited Trump’s post in a brief to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, where he faces charges of obstructing the election.

Yet that same day, as Trump and his lawyers promoted the report — which one of his campaign aides wrote, according to people familiar with the matter — others in his campaign started distancing themselves from it. A campaign spokesperson declined to comment, and another campaign aide referred questions to the legal team. “This was not posted to the campaign’s website, and we’re not lawyers,” said the aide, who like others spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the matter more freely. Trump’s legal team, through a spokeswoman, declined to comment.

The episode that unfolded Tuesday was yet another illustration of the unusual and at times strained dynamic between Trump’s legal entanglements and his campaign. Although Trump and his campaign have used the 91 charges he faces across four criminal indictments as an effective rallying cry in the Republican presidential race he is favored to win, the particulars have not always been ideal in the eyes of some of his advisers.....

“This report really rehashes the sort of greatest hits of the election conspiracies that have emerged since 2020,” said Jessica Marsden, counsel for Protect Democracy, a nonprofit group that represented Georgia election workers who sued former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani for defamation. “There wasn’t anything in here that struck me as particularly new, and a lot of the citations point to other election conspiracy news outlets, and when you dig down into the evidence, there’s nothing new to back up these claims.”

It seems that TFG's attorneys were not aware that TFG was going to publish this "report" until after it was issued

I would not be surprised to see sanction motions filed against TFG's attorneys for using this bogus and inadmissible report in a filing for the second highest court in the land.
