One of the codefendants listed in the Georgia election interference indictment is asking the judge for a change of venue.
Harrison Floyds attorney filed a motion on Friday saying, he contends that he cannot impanel a fair and impartial jury in Fulton County, and instead, seeks to have a fair and impartial jury impaneled from Coffee County, Georgia.
Floyd says he feels that he cant get a fair trial in Fulton County due to the media coverage, negative governmental press conferences, and the political bias of potential jurors.

(20,974 posts)He got due Process and a fair trial in Minneapolis where testimony, tough cross-examination, and an impartial jury convicted Chauvin on murder charges.
So the guy in Georgia who partook in that situation needs to take a breath and allow the process to play out.

(53,544 posts)Why would anyone that are jury members from outside of the area really care about justice there? In their mind they would be leaning to, it doesn't involve me.
If they didn't want Fulton County citizens to be members of the jury then they shouldn't have committed the crime there.
