I say this, the Republican responded, On immunity, very simple, if a president of the United States does not have immunity, hell be totally ineffective, because he wont be able to do anything, because it will mean hell be prosecuted strongly prosecuted, perhaps as soon as he leaves office by the opposing party.

It's important to remember that Trump and his legal team have nothing to work with, so they'll throw anything and everything out there as a defense, hoping to find a needle in a haystack. Hoping to find the right technicality to keep Trump from paying hundreds of millions and keep him out of jail.
