Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) came out swinging against Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley Friday with the launch of a Never Nikki website.
I have been watching the GOP Primary closely for a while now, and I like various aspects of several candidates, Paul said in a statement included on the website, noting GOP hopefuls former President Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, as well as independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
As I look over the field, I dont think I yet have a first choice, but I do know one thing: count me in as Never Nikki, Paul said.

Racists Love Ron and Rand Paul for Some Reason
By Jonathan Chait
One strange thing about Ron and Rand Paul is that racists keep popping up in their inner circles for no apparent reason. Ron Paul was surrounded by neo-Confederates and published a virulently racist newsletter. Libertarians attracted to his candidacy condemned the newsletters but treated their existence as a kind of indiscretion. Pauls wrongdoing is rooted in political opportunism, negligence, and failure to disassociate himself with racists, not racism itself, wrote Conor Friedersdorf. Reasons Nick Gillespie echoed, The appeal of Paul in the here and now has absolutely nothing to do with the newsletters. Timothy Carney waved away Pauls indiscretions. Its as if Pauls campaign manager turned out to have a huge cocaine problem.
But his son and progeny Rand Paul also has a close aide who is a huge racist, reports Alana Goodman. Jack Hunter, author, with Rand Paul, of The Tea Party Goes to Washington, is not just kinda bigoted in an uncomfortable, old-guy sort of way. Hes a serious neo-Confederate.
In one 2004 commentary, Hunter said Lincoln assassin John Wilkes Booths heart was in the right place.

... Sununu, one of the most prominent backers of Haley's presidential candidacy, praised Haley as the "only candidate that's surging in the race" and said that the libertarian-leaning Paul should be more focused on his work in the US Senate.
When the interviewer asked Sununu what Paul's opposition would mean for Haley's campaign, the governor said there wouldn't be any impact.
