Do y'all remember that kid in high school ...

... who could always talk that substitute teacher into ANYTHING? There was always at least one of those guys in every classroom, and he (it was always a boy) could lie and spin and make excuses and rationalize like crazy while trying to talk that substitute teacher into going along with almost any crazy proposition.

I am sure that now, ALL of those guys from high school are ... Republicans! Whenever I hear some Republican politician lying, distorting, misrepresenting, exaggerating, rationalizing, making excuses, spinning like a top, I always think about that kid who was in every class when I was in high school. Those Republican politicians all were that kid when they were in high school. ALL of them, I am sure.

There was a substitute judge courtroom skit on Saturday Night Live with the original crew (Aykroyd, Belushi, Radner, et. al.). I just tried to find that skit on YouTube. I think it was on that same SNL episode hosted by Rodney Dangerfield in which he did the sperm bank skit. Couldn't find the substitute judge skit, it would have been a perfect illustration of what I'm talking about ...

The guys I'm talking about are much brighter than MAGAts. MAGAts are not very bright. That guy in every high school class is a very clever fellow, and supremely talented in the fine art of the con. He knows former President Orange Con Man is another con man, just like him.

It was high school, so my bullshit detector wasn't finely tuned, but I did have one.

I'd survived Catholic school, after all.

I experienced a girl Friday that is going to be a major jerk when she grows up. She knows how to manipulate people at a young age. I got her number and wouldn’t let her bs me.

I just watched it, and it really was one of the best SNL episodes ever. Not just one skit, but the whole episode, including the musical guest, and I usually don't like the musical guest, but I loved this one. Thanks again, IcyPeas.

The Weekend Update skit had topics of Israel and the West Bank, and they talked about the Mexican border.... some things haven't changed much, eh?

Rodney Dangerfield was funny too.
