"SNIP.........

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) “is urging the Louisiana Legislature and GOP Gov. Jeff Landry to ignore a court order to draw a second majority Black congressional district because he wants to protect Republicans’ razor thin majority in the House,” the Shreveport Times reports.

“Johnson said the Legislature should not voluntarily create a second majority Black district that would likely result in a Democrat being elected.”

That's the point of an order - to require you to do something you might otherwise choose not to do.

What in the world of white privilege would make one think that a court order is voluntary? Oh. I think I answered my own question.

Except Repigs! Ignore subpoenas, disrupt court proceedings, take classified documents home, plan and execute insurrections . . . whatever. A Democrat kisses an actress in a comedy skit and it’s off with his head. Straight bull, no chaser.

The usual response to ignoring a court order is a contempt citation. If a state legislature disobeys an order, I suppose the judge could start with the leadership and work down the pecking order jailing folks for contempt - but that seem unlikely.

The system is not set up to deal with public officials disobeying court orders. We live in interesting times - God help us.

... A court order is not a "suggestion", you simple minded fuck.
This "flood the zone" bullshit is gonna get a lot of very stupid people killed, which, come to think of it, is exactly what sanctimonious slime like you, and every other Republican, really want. Send the expendables to the front lines so you can use their pointless deaths as a rallying cry to betray your oath, and the entire nation, just to put an irredeemably evil man back in the Oval Office.

How DARE you call yourself a "Christian". You're the furthest thing from it.

Be careful what you wish for, scumbag.
