Trump delivers incoherent speech
Acyn1 hour ago
Moments after bragging that he aced a screening test meant to detect signs of dementia, Donald Trump appeared confused and disoriented while delivering remarks in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Trump told supporters that he would put in protections to prevent banks and regulators from trying to de-bank them. He then stumbled mid sentence and almost implied that he was going to de-bank someone but then shifted the conversation to how his supporters are having their country taken away from them because of electric cars.

Trump: But we're also going to place strong protections to stop banks and regulators from trying to de-bank you. From your you know, your political beliefs, what they do. They want to de-bank you, and we're going to de-bank think of this. They want to take away your rights. They want to take away your country. The things theyre doing, all-electric cars. Give me a break.
The incoherent remarks came after Trump bragged about acing a test meant to detect early signs of dementia. Trump noted that the test included pictures of animals but added that the test became much more difficult after that.

(19,373 posts)It isn't like he was a concise, coherent, disciplined, issue-driven speech maker in 2016. He spewed random word-association-of-whatever-is-on-his-mind shit and evolved/iterated it as he read the room of hooting masses at his rallies. It looked pretty much the same as this crap a lot of the time.
De-bank? Probably some bank is refusing to loan him money or otherwise do business with him because of his NY cases.
Electric cars? Probably saw the stuff about electric cars and charging problems at very cold temps in the news recently.
I'm not saying he doesn't have dementia. But I am saying the difference is "meh." What's the point of splitting hairs in a cat turd?

Wouldn't that be a ratings grabber or would the $$$ media just drop him like a hot potato and move on to the next moron as if he never existed, like the ending of the film Network?

(490 posts)Not sure it's a word but I think he means banks wouldn't deal with for him for decades because he is a known liar, cheat and thief. So, as always, he is complaining that he has been mistreated and then projecting that mistreatment onto the crowd, who are saying "what the hell is he talking about." I'm pretty sure nobody came to the rally thinking "I've been debanked and I sure hope Trump brings it up." There is also, besides the victimhood, the implied threat that if he ever gets a chance to get revenge on those banks he will do it with joy. It's what he lives for.

(276 posts)To me, it is plain that the word from the Top is (and always has been, since 2015): "Hands off of Donnie". He has been permitted to break every norm. He's like a very bad movie about the USA, made up only of stuff that should have remained on the cutting room floor. The press continues to let him lead and lede.
TFG sucks, and that goes double for all the press-monkeys and so-called journalists that have continued to peddle his crap (and their owners). He's the unruly, snot-nosed, cruel, stinky bully of a child who was never disciplined by his uncaring parents, unleashed upon the world, crookedly building a Potemkin empire, steam-rolling over any honest folks, whilst being endlessly adored and egged on by MSM (and the vast RW conspiracy, which is almost the same damn thing).
And all the shit that was just let go when he got elected (!?) and came to power, refusing to divest, bringing in his grifting family (and Jared), flouting the U.S. security laws. They let Flynn in even though he was proven to be working for foreign governments. Not to mention de Vos, Renke, DeJoy. And so many others in his cabinet, each being happy to claim that he/she wants to bring it all down. Not to mention the SCOTUS appointment scams. All the excuses MSM put up early on about how TFG is new to presidentin' and he needs time to develop his style and find his stride. (NYT was always happy to give him every benefit of every doubt).
And the Mueller investigation which provided a strong stack of evidence of TFG's crimes was white-washed by criminal AG Barr (who admitted to having never read the report), and the press just let it all pass.
And all the shit that happened when Joe was elected and they did every damn thing they could to prevent any kind transition of power, smooth or otherwise. And the press just said "Oh, Well...". They know how bad he is. They know that he, with their aid and abetment, have turned people on one another and skewered any chance for progress in any of our national goals and needs, and there are so many things that will affect our children and grandchildren that have been scrupulously neglected.
So sick of: "Well, what can we do?" like they kept saying in early 1930's Deutschland, and "What could we have done?" Strongly-worded letters and giving speeches in Congress has not and will not work. Voting has become mostly a sham since Citizens United. It's pretty plain to me that if a Fourth Reich is desired by the billionaires, then that is what we will get, because, well, what can we do?

Last night when I was listening to the BS going on in court and no one controlling the fucking moron I thought about training pets or kids. Everyone knows you NEVER threaten then NOT follow up with a punishment as soon as it happened, even in public. If you let the broken rule/crime go without immediate repercussions you have lost the battle. After that, no matter how often you threaten, you never are in real control again.
I taught in elementary school for almost 20 years and this is what I know from my experience. The fucking moron is STILL acting like a spoiled brat, unchecked.

De-platforming is when social media giants are urged, cajoled and threatened with boycotts to get them to close the accounts and ban users who put online egregious misanthropic, mysoginist, and other very deplorable content.
De-banking means accounts get closed, and credit cards denied. I think it much rarer and I've heard of only two or so.

(3,210 posts)...yeeted. You know, because private enterprise has standards, and they're not interested in helping online Nazi chuds get easy money from couch-bound basement-dwelling incels who steal their parents' Visa cards. Alt-right assholes like "Roosh V" started whining a couple years ago about being "de-banked". Again, they're complaining because private industry has made a rational decision not to process financial transactions from Nazis.
As it turns out, this "de-banking" turned out pretty well for old Roosh, who aged out of the MRA/PUA "movement", converted to radtrad Russian Orthodoxy, subsequently deleted all his hateful websites...and got a real job.

I guess no one has the guts to tell him thats not something to brag about? I mean, every single person with a properly functioning brain is supposed to ace that test, but he brags about it like he thinks he should win the Nobel prize.
Heres the thing: we all know man, woman, person, camera, tv would NOT be the five words he would be asked to remember; the first three words and the last two are too similar, you need five random, unrelated words. In fact, we can be pretty sure he was just naming objects right in front of him. Surprised actually that he can count to five.
So on a discussion forum about a week ago someone was making these points, and gave a five word example of what to expect in this test. Now, being of a certain (ahem) age I decided to try and remember the five words as I read through the comments. Now, this was over a week ago. I still remember the words: face, velvet, church, tulip, red. Once I made a conscious effort to retain the words they just got stuck in my brain. tRump couldnt retain the information for a couple hours. Id be quite surprised if he actually aced this test at all.
phylny

I had a bit of fun with that. "See, you're supposed to tell me the words early on in this interview, not after you ask me to tell you the words you never mentioned." Such a cute color of red she turned, but she took the good natured ribbing well, and added "This test is stupid". Yes, I agreed, it is.

(22 posts)In my past, I have administered probably a couple of hundred of these tests. It is very unusual for anyone not to score 100%, and any score lower than mid twenties suggests there may be dementia present. Some of the questions are things like the date, where are we, and who is the president. The five words he keeps repeating are NOT those on a standard dementia test.

(8,582 posts)He's reading the prompter, sees "debank" which triggers a thought, probably something like "the banks threatened my social media company because of my politics" (because he is always and only speaking about himself, aka projection) and then his mind, like a bowling ball in the gutter, falls into the standard "list of grievance-triggers" that his audience is familiar with and will respond to, which will then deliver an endorphin-shot to his weary exhausted brain so that he can continue. His train of thought derails more often than a deregulated railway car, and the horrible irony is that, with severe ADHD, one's "executive function" is highly compromised, and that alone should disqualify such a person for the position of the Chief Executive of the whole country!

(95 posts)Trump knows he is about to lose some serious money. Money is the center of all his power. He even grifts from a position of power. The general public has never seen an overt and desperate need. His rubes still believe in his strength and prowess with the cash. When he has a specific dollar amount over his head, his financial facade will be over to all but the most vacuous morons.
So then he thinks he should be entitled to go to real banks and get loans, but they left him years ago. This is probably a sign that the Russian money is not coming and not possible. Trump can't complain about the Russian abandonment, so he whines about the American banks. Why aren't they bailing him out - like he deserves?
Grievance. Plan retribution. Lather, Rinse, Repeat. Imagine the loop of hate and misery in that fuck's head. We should get him to agree to donate his super terrific genius brain to science when he dies. What kind of mangled mess would be observed?

Given his absence of skills in taking tests and submitting to any procedures or discipline at all, I have come to think of this test, taken probably four or five years ago as the only one he has ever had.
And of course when he opens his mouth, he embodies dementia!
