He pointed out that in 2020, he got 13,000 more votes in his district that Joe Biden. IOW, several thousand people voted for Trump and voted for him. His view that that tarring all Trump voters with the same broad brush is a dangerous strategy for winning elections.

1. A 2020 vote was BEFORE Jan 6 and his full dictator reveal. Anyone who votes Trump now is an enemy of the planet.

3. He displayed those tendencies prior to the 2020 election.

He's been flirting with Hitler and authoritarianism for decades.

It was reported in 2015 that he kept a book of Hitler's speeches by his bed.

He's been kissing up to dictators since at least 2016.

None of this is new. Only the terminology and the extent have changed. "Rat-infested" became "vermin".

Both of those next level skullfuckeries occurred after the 2020 election, which was the example used in the OP.

That is my main point. The OP is trying to to make a case for respecting 2024 Trump voters (who WILL STILL vote for Trump after Jan 6 and after his open dictator promises) on the tiny (and very likely reduced chance compared to 2020) hope they will also voted for liberal Democrats in the other races.

I refuse to do so. I CONDEMN them for voting for the monster in 2024. Zero quarter and zero fucks given.

A 2024 Trump voter is an enemy of the US and the world, a clear and present danger when viewed as part of the Shitlerian collective.

2. It's so much easier to just lump them all together.

We toss around a lot of blanket statements and stereotypes, and not just regarding Trump and his supporters. We insist that Adam Kinzinger and Mike Johnson are exactly the same, for example, because they're both Republicans.

We probably don't do it as much as the right, but we are quite certainly not immune.
