So Dean Phillips (I know, who?) is all over corporate media bashing Biden today. He actually said Biden is going to get creamed against Cheato, among other horrible things. This person is no Democrat.

(4,090 posts)They luvs them big ol Trump/GOP tax cuts and know a DEM congress and POTUS will make them pay tax rates more like what teachers pay, at the very least. They don't want that. And corporations don't want the downward birth rate; it bodes ill for their future dependence on worker supply being greater than demand which will mean they have to PAY BETTER and abuse less.
Bottom line, they will say and do ANYTHING to make the left feel powerless, which becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Do not buy into it. Instead, work for the win & Get Out The Vote!
Biden is NOT gonna get creamed. If that was a likely result, corporations, here and globally, would not be in such a panic to convince us Biden is gonna lose.
The oh so apparent decline of poster boy for, and puppet of global corporations, Donald 'where am I?' Trump must be causing some panic for the fattest cats.
Buckle up, it's gonna be a very strange and turbulent year.

(63,747 posts)He seems as sharp as ever to me. The stock market is booming, he's handling this mess in the Middle East as well as anybody (and better than most would have done), he's using everything he can to expand abortion rights, loan forgiveness, etc. Biden has guided us through the pandemic, inflation is down - I think he's doing an awesome job.
Biden has my full support and I don't want anybody to primary him. That's how we lose.
karynnj
(59,887 posts)Than the same incumbent vs a specified person. The fact that there is no well known person challenging Biden suggests they know it would be a bad idea. Biden is such a good PRESIDENT that none of the many very ambitious potential opponents have all made the decision not to run.
Dean Phillips was a relatively unknown congressman, who since announcing has done nothing to make people think better of him. Polls have placed him below other marginal candidates. His attack now may be because he needs to convince himself that his run was of some value, not just career suicide.
