People have exited since the 90's. IMHO, this is the best, low cost place to invest in and our ed system is 1st rate. Lake is downtown and deserves development.

When I was a child, we lived in Maine for a year. My dad worked for the U.S. Navy, and worked at one of the ports there. I have great memories of snowy mornings, awesome woods...
