Been at DU for 23 years - 70 now. The most important intellectual connection and constant, in my life.

Great group therapy and a place to challenge your thinking. Fucking love this place.

Keep me sane. I live in a densely populated by magats area and so my interactions have to be measured, limited.

Lost that account and logged back in a bit ago. Lots of lurking, lots of shitposting, and a few good ones here and there.

I think we're smarter, funnier, and (most likely) better looking than our counterparts on the right. Why not spend the day with this crowd?

Having spent FAR too long in so-called "liberal forums" where liberals were routinely attacked, vilified, obstructed, blocked and censored.

So needless to say, it has been a RELIEF to find a community full of like minded, active and passionate individuals who (especially in these times) clearly see the GOP under Trump and his MAGA abomination for what it truly IS - in all its hate and bile, a threat to democracy itself,

and who are dedicated to bringing that TRUTH to us all.
