I'll say it again,

THANK YOU President Joe Biden for The American Rescue Plan and the Butch Lewis Act.
You saved my pension which was on the verge of insolvency.
Now my retirement is great with pension and Social Security combined.
Joe you're a Great Man whether you know it or not.
You have done so much for the people of the United States against all odds.
I Love You man.

This link explains it well:

https://pensionrights.org/resource/common-questions-about-the-butch-lewis-act/

It seems like common sense and decency to have this kind of protection for workers who rely on pensions.

Common sense and decency = it had to be done by Democrats; Republicans don't believe in all that.

(I hope you don't mind my hanging this under your response - hoping others who don't recognize the bill will see this.)

... in my heart for those "Look at me! I'm a very serious person expressing doubts about Joe Biden's competency because I listen to liars, and besides, it gets me attention I don't deserve!" clowns.

RFK Jr. is a disgrace to his family name, and a certifiable nut-job, if only for his asinine anti-vaccine grandstanding, and who did not discount accepting a VP nod from Trump, which would delight the idiots in Dealey Plaza, even if it isn't JFK, Jr. reincarnated .

Dean Phillips has committed the unpardonable sin of conducting a primary challenge against the incumbent for completely fabricated reasons, and who, if he REALLY cared about the country, would be foursquare behind Biden and Harris.

I've said it before, but it bears repeating: There is no such thing as the perfect candidate; it's a political unicorn, so stop wishing for one. Biden is the best you can hope for, and his remarkable first-term record proves that he delivers, against seemingly insurmountable odds.

Repeat after me: NOTHING IN THIS WORLD MATTERS MORE THAN BEATING TRUMP, AND MAKING HIS BRAIN-DEAD SUPPORTERS SLITHER BACK INTO THE CESSPOOL THAT SPAWNED THEM.

Too harsh? Gimme a break. These fools celebrate his crimes, and openly admit that they WANT a fucking dictator! So any vote you might give to a fringe candidate is a vote FOR a dictatorship that will at least tacitly condone, if not openly promote, death squads. Only this time, they'll be REAL, and they'll be looking for you. If you think that's just hyperbole, may I remind you that Reagan already tested the theory in Central America, which is why we have a crisis at the Southern border now.
Vote blue, or brace yourself for a Randian hellscape of epic proportions. Oh, and the end of the Great American Experiment. And it will be ALL. YOUR. FAULT.

Rant over. For now...

that is pre funded way into the future. The pensions are not given out anymore. I was lucky enough to still get one.

It's retirees' health care costs that are required to be pre-funded. My memory was fuzzy on that.
