In my opinion, if Trump is not held accountable by the law and the courts...

He stands a good chance of being elected President in the next election.

If the courts do not hold him accountable for any crimes, why should the voters believe he is guilty of anything?

Just my opinion, but I believe there are enough ignorant voters, including Democrats and Independents, to put him back into office. Why?

Because they have bought into the long-time propaganda against the "old and feeble" Joe Biden.

It's a terrible thought to contemplate but I am very dubious that the voters will hold Trump "accountable" when the courts would not.

With the long delay on the "immunity" charge by the Appeals Court and the likely Supreme Court decision on the 14th Amendment, no one should be optimistic that the law will hold him to account.

After all, why shouldn't an ex-president be immune to the laws that apply to the rest of us? Why shouldn't he say that if ordered the Seal Team 6 to assassinate his political opponents, then he should be immune from any prosecution? Can you not see the difficulties and pitfalls in making a ruling against former presidents, especially those that are criminally inclined?

The danger is that the Courts will make political decisions instead of Constitutional decisions.

The Cheney/Bush ticket was elected for a 2nd term and we were plunged into a depression.

Now, many of the same team Cheney/Bush are being extolled as upholders of republican decency and democracy.

That's how bad it has become.

Did you see the Colorado "law and order party" GOP candidate debate in Boebert's new district? - when the question was "who has an arrest record" EVERY ONE OF THEM held up their hands. Some even high-fiving each other with glee at having a record.

That's how bad it has become.

The hardcore Trump cult, I'm sure it would not matter to them.
