Locals Say Eagle Pass Is Being Invaded by Christian Nationalists -- Not Migrants

Submitted for your consideration. I think this is an excellent read and a useful perspective.

"Eagle Pass, Texas—Residents of the border town at the center of an ongoing feud between Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and the Biden administration made it clear over the weekend that the only people they see as “invaders” in their community are the 14 Republican governors and a convoy of Christian nationalists calling themselves “God’s Army.”

“There has been an invasion, but I’m not talking about the immigrants. The invasion is from Governor Abbott and his political rhetoric,” said Juanita Martinez, an Eagle Pass resident and chair of the Maverick County Democratic Party, on Friday outside the Maverick County Courthouse."

They'll think they're surrounded by aliens when they realize the overwhelming population of Eagle Pass is Spanish speaking and a tad "Mexican" looking.

I’m generally not a fan of superstitious mysticism, but I have studied it in detail in various countries throughout my life.

These people are lost and crazy. Abbot and his murderous minions run a cult based in violent Christianity — the ‘other’ side of the Glory of God crap that has cursed our species since the Old Days. It is neither loving nor kind. Instead, it is primal and insane.

It worships the “Other” — not as a deity, but as a means to power. Hitler was one of many, not unusual in any way except scope. It’s all the same.

These people are not ‘American’ in any way; they clothe themselves in patriotic fervor tinged with ancient brain chemistry, and carry out rituals written into their DNA without thought or reason.

We’ve got a long way to go. I wish some of these ‘Christians’ would wake up and realize how close to the original reptile they are. ‘Fear the Other!’ ‘Cast Out The Unbelieving Of Different Color!’

I’m living in dark scifi. Same old, same old.

My grandmother was a Christian, and a good one — ‘feed the hungry’, and ‘love the children’.

These prehumans in Texas and around the country are all about judging the hungry and making the child fearful.

They don’t fool me. Reptiles.

The locals are probably standing around scratching their heads saying "what illegals"?

This is totally made up theater.
