Republicans are mad Democrats didn't tell them Rep. Green would get out of his hospital bed to vote against impeachment

Sawyer Hackett @SawyerHackett
Speaker Mike Johnson blames the failed impeachment of Sec. Mayorkas on “people who show up when they’re not expected to be in the building.”

He’s referencing Rep. Al Green, who showed up in a wheelchair from surgery.

...Dem magic!

Keith Boykin @keithboykin
Republicans are mad that Democrats didn’t tell them that Rep. Al Green would get out of his hospital bed to vote against their sham impeachment. They’re so used to winning elections by suppressing the Black vote that they think it’s a trick when a Black person actually does vote.

Acyn @Acyn
Jeffries: It’s not our responsibility to let House Republicans know which members will or will not be present on the House Floor

I’ve no doubt that this self-sanctified Speaker tried to take advantage of a medical situation rather than allow democracy to play out. But it’s also true that a guy who thinks the universe is 6000 years old might not be very good at basic math.

Essentially, when you are in the majority, the minority is irrelevant when it comes to vote counting. You should be able to pass a bill on your own, you should have votes in your pocket if you need them, and you should never bring a bill to the floor if you are unsure it will pass.

Republicans are just a bunch of dumbasses.

They demand that that clowns no longer be associated with the Republican white nationalist crime syndicate, theocratic domestic terrorist organization, and insane death cult.

And one Republican changed his vote to no. This way they can bring it back for another vote. So without Green, it would have been 215 - 214 and it would have passed.
