(23,568 posts)She was good. Once, when I had a pet die I was so devastated that I found one of her talks on death and dying and it really made me feel better

across to voters. I don't know her work but I know she is popular as a support guru.

(10,438 posts)It was a poor showing and she only came across as a wacko to most voters. It only diminished whatever standing she had before.
She should go back to wherever she came from. Whatever possessed her to think she could be an able and competent president, she should exorcise it out immediately.

(29,296 posts)"I've been thinking for a long time about how our country needs to become kinder and all of us need to become more connected to one another" and there's a "spiritual vacuum." "
"People in politics don't normally talk this way. Neither do First Ladies. I soon discovered why." She was mocked as "Saint Hillary" and "preaching couched in the gauzy and gushy wrappings of New Age jargon." Similar to what was said about Williams!
2016: "I know it's not usual for someone running for President to say what we need more of in this country is love and kindness. But that's exactly what we need."
"'Love and kindness' became a staple for me on the campaign trail. ... I've spent many hours since the election wondering if there was more we could have done to get the message through to an angry electorate in a cynical time. There's been so much said and written about the economic hardships and life expectancies of the working-class whites who embraced Trump. But why should they be more angry and resentful than the millions of blacks and Latinos who are poorer, die younger, and have to contend every day with entrenched discrimination? ... Too many people feel alienated from each other and from any sense of belonging or purpose. Anger and resentment fill that void and can overcome everything else: tolerance, basic standards of decency, facts, and certainly the kind of practical solutions I spent the campaign offering."

(29,296 posts)Today I looked at her policy platform because I couldn't remember, it's all very vague. She's vague.
Her new book is released in May and I'm sure she'll be much happier doing what she's famous for.
