The main reason ReTHUGs are defending Slobby

is that many of them were involved in the attempted coup/insurrection.

It is why they refused to support the establishment of a special Watergate type Committee. It is why they tried to fuck up the J6 Committee by selecting coup plotters to sit on it. Pelosi et al effed them up and changed many many minds.

Following the impressive J6 Committee hearings, similar consequences are coming for more than a few of them and their goons (some of whom are already in prison). Smelvis, the sick fuck Slobfather knows this and so do the rest of the ReTHUG leadership and their activists.

https://www.npr.org/2022/06/06/1103098399/watergate-committee-hearings-may-be-both-an-inspiration-and-a-hard-act-to-follow

The House Committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol will begin public hearings on TV on Thursday night, eight days before we mark the 50th anniversary of the bungled burglary that gave a name to the biggest political scandal of its time — Watergate.

That single word still reverberates in Washington, in the media and in history. It still has meaning among those who remember those times and those who value the separation of powers and the idea that the law applies to everyone — even the president of the United States.

One big reason people remember Watergate is that the Senate eventually empaneled a special committee to look into the larger story behind that one burglary. And that committee's work played an enormous part in making Watergate what it became.

When Cheney organized the J6 hearing against Trump.
The deal was that she could go ahead with it, in return no MOC would be named.
Maybe the DOJ went along with it too.

We know that Garland is so terrified of looking "political" that he gives
criminals a pass.

Trump told DOJ to say election was corrupt and ‘leave the rest to me’ and GOP, Jan 6 hearing told

"Just say it was corrupt and leave the rest to me and the Republican congressmen,” Donald Trump said, in words read aloud by Jan 6 committee member Adam Kinzinger, who then asked: “That’s a direct quote from President Trump, correct?”

“That’s an exact quote from the president, yes,” Mr Donoghue responded.

Please, oh, please DoJ, please be following up on this out to the rotten fruits of the GOPer vine.

The questions is can they do their jobs and start prosecuting the criminal members of congress?

Compromised DOJ, its fruits will blossom this spring, bloom this summer and bear witness this fall. The long lawless winter may end, some day, but it will be the cause much disruption. If it's painless, there are some still at large. We should learn from Watergate and Iran-Contra the value of thoroughness and the long-term costs of premature forgiveness.

They should be, but won't need to be because the sinister six will put party over country.

Beer bong, bribery bros, and the handmaid will ignore

1. Immediately after Jan 6, the R not involved called it an insurrection.
2. The declaration for the congressional medal to the capital police. 100-0 in the senate that they defended against an insurrection.
3. The Jan 6 committee
4. The Colorado hearings with witness that judge determined was insurrection
5. Other state officials investigation that ruled it was an insurrection.

Alito et al will pretzel logic something to protect the party bought and paid for by their chief bribers.

14. First of all, Congressional Magats have immunity from prosecution
Thu Feb 8, 2024, 09:04 AM

Everybody's brother and sister knows what Scott Perry did. Yeah, yeah, the FBI seized his phone, couldn't access it for over a year, then was given partial access. How long ago was that?

Loudermilk gave a Capitol tour to insurrectionists, from what I understand he was only questioned by Capitol police, not by the FBI.

Why should members of Congress be worried about being prosecuted when Scott Perry was appointed the head of the Freedumb caucus where he proceeded to investigate the FBI for crying out loud.

Donald Trump is a Putin puppet and members of Congress know this. Congressional Magats defend Citizen Trump because they are afraid of him both physically and politically.

Did anyone see what Senator James Lankfort from Oklahoma said yesterday? He was pushing for the Senate border bill. Lankfort said that he was told by Jesse Kelly, who does a 3 hour right wing radio broadcast, that if he pursued the border bill that the anchor will destroy him.

Putin and Trump who takes orders from Putin will never pass any bill that has funding for Ukraine. Democrats could write up a bill with money for 300 miles of border fence but if it includes money for Ukraine it will never pass.

I understand getting death threats for speaking truth to power, it happened to me a long time ago. Congressional Magats support Trump because they are afraid of him. Romney said it in his book, Senators voted not to convict Trump during impeachment out of fear. Romney told us why they support Trump. Romney himself, because he voted to convict Trump spent millions of dollars for his personal security.

Occam's Razor - Congressional Magats support Trump out of fear.

Trump has made it abundantly clear any Republican who stands up to him will be primaried and voted out. And it's not just over the 1/6 stuff, anything Trump sees as an act of disloyalty will get them thrown out of office. Ask Flake, Corker, Cheney, Kinzinger and a few others what happened to them when they took a stand against Trump.
