It should be absolutely clear by now that any Trump appointee is there due to their loyalty to Trump. That's why they were appointed, that's their qualiification and that's their purpose.
So there should be a concerted effort to point out any judge, prosecutor or other political appointee still in government service that was appointed by Trump, is there to do his bidding.
That is job #1 for these flacks and no benefit of the doubt should be given. The burden is on them to prove this is not the case.
Cannon, Hur, Weiss, Durham and 3 Supremes come to mind.
They need to be called out as loyalists.

(45,417 posts)Conservative ideology doesnt really exist anymore in the Republican party. If it did they would never support trump

(10,029 posts)Trump and Putin top their priority list. The aforementioned loyalists also function as apologists, enablers, disinformation dispersers, and justice deniers.

(22,733 posts)Trump probably knew none of his judicial appointees from Adam's off ox. He was given a list by the Federalist Society and picked following recommendations, or maybe just at random. Who the hell knows? Trump was merely a vehicle serving the interests of another toxic ideology.
In the venn diagram, I'm sure there's overlap with Federalist Society ideologues and those loyal to Trump for whatever reason, but it's probably not that many. Cannon may be just bad luck, where Smith's case drew one from the venn overlap. Simply put, the interests of Federalist Society types and Donnie's fascism lite sometimes coincide. But the main thing they have in common is they're both cancers on American politics that need to be cut out and destroyed by any and all means necessary. And I mean that. Any and all means necessary.

(3,018 posts)Is overwhelming personal loyalty to Trump, otherwise he would not have appointed them.
They know how he reacts to disloyalty.
The ideology is secondary, IMO. Trump doesn't care about ideology.
They see what happened to Sessions, Pence and the like.
