That is terrible news, I feel soooo bad for him.

(77,277 posts)There is no possible way he's up to date on accounts payable.
It was a small company with a huge debt load, so no treasury to speak of.
Now that revenues are 60% of what they were (his number, I think it's worse than that) there's no way they can pay their bills.
I wonder how many people have gotten laid off because of his stupid quest.
While they were low paying jobs, he had 1,500 FTEs at peak. (Ridiculously high for $150 million total revenue.) There's no possible way they can afford that bloat now.
He wants people to think it's his politics.
But, what is bad business is to keep providing service for people who can't pay the bills.

(39,308 posts)even without his despicable politics.
Low prices & enough banking suckers to keep expanding his business on massive debt.
I don't analyze that many corporations, but the numbers are his outfit were stunning.
5 parts debt to 1 part equity? GM has a D/E of 1.8 and many analysts think that alarmingly high. Lindell was at FIVE!
Bankers thought a recovering crack addict was a good risk to the point of a stratospheric D/E?
He was just a temporarily lucky puke who believed his own press releases.
There is strong suspicion that he self-edited his wiki page to add an impossibly high net worth. No wonder ge and TFG were kindred.
Both serial liars & abusers.

(5,932 posts)He learned quickly that the MAGAts, Q-bots, and other intellectual giants of that ilk were great marks. Toss them a few red meat bogus claims and they'll buy your crap to help you out.
Much the way the alleged 'billionaire' twice-impeached ex-President currently under 4 indictments for 91 felonies has been able to grift the rubes.
As long as you claim that your views are 'conservative' (when in reality they conserve nothing but concentrated power for an elite subset of citizens) you can rope them in.

(8,017 posts)That is the truth. And that subset is solidly incompetent.
It's hilarious when someone successfully ropes them in. There have been a few examples -- the most successful one being the two brothers who posed as a conservative news and analysis website. They collected tens of thousands of subscribers and sold ads by aligning themselves with several high-profile Republican congressmen.
They pulled an excellent prank at the end, but I can't remember what it is.

(3,065 posts)He's so not a thing anymore, no one would waste their time going after him by causing his web service provider grief. He's just selling schlock now, not election lies (not so much anyway, but not relevant).

(77,277 posts)There were claims of over $300 million, but the company history doesn't allow for him to ever have accumulated a tenth of that, at most, with 60% of that being his modest company.
We know one thing for sure. They both lie about how much they're worth. And, Lindell is even worse about it than TFG.
