(96,882 posts)I worked on Super Bowl planning once. Almost no tickets are available for ordinary fans.

(17,802 posts)Ticket holders then. Or however many people the stadium holds.

(96,882 posts)But there were lots of discussions of how many attendees would not be taking the train to the stadium, and how many were guests of the NFL, teams, network, sponsored, etc.

(13,003 posts)I checked into getting tickets for Colorado Avalanche game for me and my son's wife......
Four tickets, top of the nosebleed section.......Four beers & Hot dog, Parking, game program.......
Close to a THOUSAND DOLLARS. Same goes for games, across the entire U.S.
As far as I know, and exclusive to the AVS, no broadcast of the games in local area/state........
The Wall Mart Waltons and their spawn own The Colorado Avalanche, The Denver Broncos, The Denver Nuggets, and I think the Pro lacrosse or Pro Soccer team also........They also own another NFL team and who knows what else...............

(1,205 posts)I have been a Niner fan for a few decades but for the last few years I have also followed the Chiefs.
So I guess I can't lose.
I just hope the team that wins will cause the most pain to the freaking magats.
I think the game will be clean and well played and (I hope!) well officiated.

I wouldn't be rooting for anyone in particular, if not for the Taylor Swift brouhaha, so I can happily get behind this!

(7,395 posts)If the Chiefs win, they will have to contend with many videos of Taylor Swift beaming and cheering Travis Kelce. Maybe a kiss or two between them.
If the 49ers win, they will have to acknowledge that people in that "gay city" won another Super Bowl. They will have to say that the LGBTQ community really does football good.
Either way, it will Usher in something they won't like, and likely rant about for a week.

(18,774 posts)Not a fan of either but still like them. Most of the commercials aren't really that good. Just my opinion of course.

(5,457 posts)Steeler fans dress in similar get ups the entire season, even when it is a losing season, and have parties to watch games on TV. She might be going home to watch the game with her hubby in the comfort of their own home. My terrible towel is folded on the TV stand next to a small teddy bear in Steeler gear. The blanket I throw across my lap in the winter is a Steeler throw and I have Tee shirts from the 70's I still wear on game day.

(18,774 posts)Lots of other Steeler stuff. Two sons and their mates all have Masters from PItt. All smarter than I.

(317 posts)Although I am rooting for KC, I'm certain I can separate my politics from my choice of teams. Madam Pelosi is a staunch supporter of democracy and her right to root for the 49ers is in the Constitution somewhere. Of that I am fairly certain.
