treatment or diagnostics he received for his prostate cancer.

Probably either the biopsy or a procedure gave him a resistant infection, and if that is the case, unless there is a suitable antibiotic that will treat it, this can very well be a life-threatening situation.

people, at least that's what was told to me when my father died of an infection.

Austin was admitted to Walter Reed critical care. I’m guessing that means the ICU, but I really don’t know. Bladder problems are not unusual with prostate cancer, but this sounds more like a serious infection or an obstruction. That poor man can’t catch a break. Praying for him and his family for a good outcome.

Very sad news! He probably was feeling much rougher than it appeared in his news conference last week. I hope they find some answers and relief for him. 💗🙏🏼
