It is unbelievable just how much Bloomberg has actually legitimized trump.

They have slowly been moving in that direction, and it is sad and disappointing.

This morning when discussing Trump's comments about NATO, their characterization was they were simply "controversial" statements, nothing more.

WTF. Trump is calling on Putin to attack our European allies.

There was a time when statements like that would have doomed a candidate, and the media would have called him out as the threat he is to our democracy. Instead, they minimize his outrageous behavior as acceptable.

There is no doubt that trump not only wants to destroy NATO, but wants Ukraine to fall.

That so much of our illustrious press lets those defenders and apologists of trump go unchallenged, is a disgrace.

It is no surprise that trump's polling numbers are higher than they should be, and much of that lies at the feet of our media, and, their lazy reporting.

1. Trump hates Ukraine because Zelensky would not help him win in 2020 by framing Biden with fake crimes.

And, yes, the media are lazy about Trump, but most media is owned by billionaires. They most likely want Trump to be president because he cuts their taxes. The Sulzberger family (which controls the NYT) and Jeff Bezos (Washington Post) do not give a fig about what happens to the country outside their orbit. All they care about is personal wealth and for the Times keeping wealthy shareholders happy. The people at their level know they will be fine no matter what Trump and his MAGA Party do because their money and power protect them.

If Trump committed more serious crimes as president, no one at either paper would investigate or publish findings as the Post and did with the Pentagon Papers. The era of truth and high expectations for public political figures is over unless you’re a Democrat. Then the standards are higher than ever.

Bloomberg has been a tremendous disappointment throughout Biden's presidency, both in the naive "political" coverage and their "everything is awful" economic coverage. They have also jumped whole hog into the idea that all anti-Semitism is this country is emanating from Ivy League campuses. Pathetic.

I used to watch Surveillance every morning until I realized that Tom Keane and that wretched Lisa woman were Dumpers. I suspect Ferro is nauseated by Dump and the GOP but can't say it.
