Hamas commander on why terror group attacks civilians

4 minute video, I have not yet found a transcript but some highlights:

CBS-"So on October the 7th women and children were murdered"
A-"Israel lost what, 1,000 or 2,000 people killed. That's nothing."

CBS-""You had to have known that there would have been Israel's response, that Palestinians would suffer as a result."
A- "We are not pleased with that, but this is the path of armed struggle."

CBS- "So when does this all end, all this killing, all this suffering?"
A- "The killing and suffering ends when the Israelis walk out of our land.

One Hamas supporter here complained about all the Palestinians/Gazans killed.

Not one bit of empathy for all the Jews killed/sexually molested by the Muslim warriors.

When I asked what numerical value he considered significant, he ran away.

.
So, what numerical value is their starting point of 'something'?

2,000 Palestinians/Gazans killed would also be "nothing"?

Ceasefire alone is pro-Hamas. Support peace.

Hamas wants to do what Trump's republicans support::: kill more Jews.

… “freedom for Palestine.” Well, announcing loudly at DU that this is totally understandable and excusable because (what was it? ) it was all due to sincere feelings — sure sounded like DUers making excuses for Hamas.

The old folks were at a Christmas party, their party was crashed by this rude bunch, and a 90 year old woman got punched in the face so hard she had to be treated at a hospital. Who the hell does this?

In true DU fashion, we had a donnybrook of our own right here.

They're just dying for the greater cause. Hey, great. All of those kids are martyrs.

A video yesterday showed a Hamas leader, taking his family to safety via their tunnels.

An option for the Hamas elite but not available to the ordinary Gazans.

That is the war will end when all Palestinians have left or been eliminated from Gaza and the West Bank.

The two sides are mirrors of each other in sentiment, but only one actually has the means to realistically implement its goals.

tend to erode that lovin' feeling somewhat.

Israel has been more patient than about any other nation would be in a similar situation and especially in the wake of the second or third largest such attack in world history one could only expect some very harsh sentiments.

Not the dirt and soil kind, but the hearts and minds kind.

After hundreds of years of repression, the threat of equality was deemed anti-Islamic oppression, and in their zeal that was not to be allowed--By Any Means Necessary.

It will end when the leadership and people of Arab Palestine cease efforts to kill Jews in Israel and elsewhere in the attempt to extinguish the 'Zionist entity'. As things stand, Israel has every right to take what security measures its government deems necessary to protect its citizens from random murder by gangs dedicated to that purpose. If these measures are, in fact, meant simply to oppress Arab Palestinians, there is one sure way to find out. Call the bluff. Make it pellucidly clear Israelis have nothing to fear from people in Arab Palestine, and see what happens. Nothing whatever is risked, the murder gangs have no ability to protect the people they operate among from Israeli military and police actions, so eschewing violence gives up nothing the people of Arab Palestine already possess. The only risk is that peace might come to pass, which is the last thing the current political leadership of Arab Palestine wants.
