Weirdly!, Israel bad stories don't get updated when additional information comes to light. In that vein . . .
The broadcaster itself reported on Tuesday that Arabic language reporter Ismail Abu Omar and his cameraman Ahmad Matar were both seriously injured north of Rafah and taken to hospital for treatment.
But the Israeli military described Omar as "a deputy company commander in Hamas's Eastern Battalion of Khan Yunis".
"Abu Omar even filmed himself in Kibbutz Nir Oz during the October 7th massacre and published it on social media platforms," a statement read.

(42,033 posts)It was first reported by Hamas that Israel bombed a hospital and killed 500 people. The condemnation was visceral. Congresswoman Tlaib immediately went out and accused Israel of committing genocide. Even though days later the truth came out that it was a Hamas rocket that landed in the parking lot and some people were killed, she failed to correct her Twitter/X post.
It is like the casualties being reported that fail to take into account that they include 11,000+ terrorists.
Hamas steals humanitarian aid and denies food to Gazans. Humanitarian aid is being stockpiled by Hamas in UNRWA warehouses. Yet a U.S. congressman yesterday accused Israel of starving children. Israels vigorous denial goes unnoticed.
The worst light that can be cast on Israel is the one the world runs with.

Thing is. That's actually probably not that far off from the pitch.

(10,966 posts)Stories sourced from Al Jazeera, UNRWA, and Hamas ministries are breathlessly rushed out there, because I suspect waiting even ten seconds might result in those stories getting clowned on for the blatant Hamas lies it often is.
It's always a "cui bono?" with these things. Always in one direction.
But no one supports Hamas, you guys. Those Mandelian Idols of Liberty.
