Once the cat was out of the bag that she and Wade had had a relationship, it was a given that the defense side would leverage it to something tawdry and salacious. It had to be brought to the surface or the Trumpees would have claimed conspiracy even if the facts didn't warrant it.

I think Judge McAfee wanted to preserve a record that would withstand an appeal, and will rule in Fani's favor and put the trial back on the track it belongs on.

Anything else would be a major miscarriage of justice.
