Why did the judge allow questions about Fani Willis' sex life?

...especially after she testified (and Wade testified) that she paid her own way on everything?

Whether or not she had sexual intercourse and when had no bearing on anything relevant to the underlying reason for the hearing.

No payments to DA Willis from Wade, no case.

They already had the questionable testimony of someone claiming to be a friend who couldn't actually prove a relationship based on 'hugging' or even kissing that she described from her view of the two from outside of that acquaintance.

There is no evidence of any payment in the initial filing, and this fishing expedition the judge allowed was a sham of a failure for the Trump team attorneys.

Whether they had a relationship tells us nothing about any benefit derived from that association, and no evidence of one was produced or uncovered in court.

Why would this judge allow the defense to muddy up the lead prosecutor in the case before him in this way without some clear evidence of wrongdoing, and just based on the pack of bullshit accusations in the Trump team filing?

I thought the whole proceeding was unwarranted. Their relationship has no bearing on the RICO case. I hope the judge doesn’t allow this to continue and he rules for the defense, Team Fani Willis!

Plus I thought since Fani is having to defend herself against these allegations of any wrongdoing that she would be considered the defendant.

Thanks for the clarification.

Fani Willis is not messing around and she knows what is going on. They think they can insult her intelligence. Fani can run circles around them and still not lose a beat.

It smells like the 3 muskaratfuckers, trump, giuliani, and stone. They’ve been at this ratfucking for a very long time.

and allowing the attorneys for the co-defendants to get all this bullshit over with.
Judges do their best to remove appealable issues.
I am confident he will make his decision based on the law.

...the judge already had depositions saying exactly what he heard in open court.

There was absolutely no need for this demeaning side show which did nothing but tear the prosecutor down for what amounted to nothing revealed that was alleged by Roman, and Trump lawyers joining in on the assault.

Without clear criminality or wrongdoing, this should have never come into open court. The judge didn't need that sordid display to get the information he needed to decide.

Hell, he couldn't even decide an objection without asking the Trump lawyers for their take first.
