(25,050 posts)What are you talking about?!
God admitted a mistake in creating humans. Ever heard of the Flood? God decided to kill the humans to erase the mistake. The mistake was compounded when god let Noah and his family survive thus perpetuating the sins that upset god in the first place.
God makes mistakes.
Theres your Sunday School lesson for the day, you ignoramus.

(40,915 posts)If one believes in an all-powerful God, that is correct. God has approved/allowed this.
We do not have free will.
We only have allowed will.
God has the power to 'change men's hearts' and has been given credit for doing so.
God has allowed/approved rape and school killings.

If humans have free will, no prayers will change anything.

(32,354 posts)and someone told me about "predestination" I didn't think it made sense.
Predestination is a cop out, it makes no sense because it negates my free will, negates my common sense. When I peed on that electric fence when I was a kid, it wasn't God's plan for me to do that, it was my own stupid mistake, I take ownership of what I did, I don't use God for an excuse.

(22,230 posts)Arabic for god willing. A tenant of Islam as well as Christian fundigelicalism. They're dumb enough to believe everything that happens is as god wills it. Thus, god willed that 3K+ would die horribly on 9-11, and 6M Jews would be murdered in the 1940's, and....... See where this is leading?
She's a fucking moron who isn't qualified to run a bake sale much less be a member of state government.
When they don't have a reasonable answer, they respond cheerily with a "It's God's will" or the more common one, "The Bible says". Almost always with a huge empty smile on their face. Of course, if you question the validity of the bible verse, they have an answer for that as well. Probably something like not questioning the way of the Lord.
Apparently ignorance really IS bliss for such people and religion is their drug of choice.
