Donald Trump's Russia ties remain a national security risk

Many gasped recently when Donald Trump said he’d encourage Russia “to do whatever the hell they want” with NATO allies who don’t pay their share of the transatlantic alliance’s defense spending. It was a brazen but hardly surprising turn from someone who has shown a long and loyal affection for Russian President Vladimir Putin, a wanted war criminal.

Trump has called Putin — a former KGB agent who jails and murders critics — smart, savvy, and his friend. Trump sided with Putin after a U.S. intelligence community assessment found Russia meddled in the 2016 election. More troubling, in 2017 Trump shared highly classified intelligence with the Russian ambassador.

These were not innocent missteps. Rather, they are part of Trump’s decades-long support for Russia. As he mounts another presidential bid, voters must understand that Trump remains a national security risk.

There are dozens of reasons why Trump is unfit to be president, but his subservience to Putin is near the top of the list. Russia remains one of America’s fiercest foes. Yet, before, during, and after his one term as president, Trump bowed down to what Ronald Reagan called the “evil empire.”

I would expect to see Putin as a guest in the oval office, and a major state dinner for him. The worst part is, I’m sure all his fans would be just fine with it. I am so pissed that we went through the whole Cold War and everything just to have this guy hand our country to Russia on a platter. And there seems to be no way we can stop it. All Democrats should pull together against this, but we have some who are looking to feather their own nest politically

I am veteran and the very idea what we are allowing a proven traitor to America to run for the very same office he defiled is f*** insane!

Trump should have been placed under arrest as soon as his term ended.

Trump should have already had his trials by now and should be serving a life sentence in a federal penitentiary.

You are not voting for Biden or DINOS you are voting for democracy plain and simple.

I sing every chorus right behind and beside you. If we don't demand one hell of a housecleaning in DC and the states after we win this year, something is horribly wrong with us. I generally hate to see committees formed, but I think we'll need a solid truth and reconciliation committee and an anti corruption committee... both with teeth and parties be darned. I believe it's time to take back our country, or all those who died fighting for her we'll dishonor, my father among them.

Nothing rump does surprises me. If you believe in Christianity he is one of the antichrists, imo. He is truly evil incarnate.

But what has surprised me is how paltry the law we fight so hard for is so ill equipped to deal with someone like him. The Rosenbergs must be screaming Why US? from their graves. My heart aches for what Reality Winner went thru. She just didn't have the big bucks, big mouth, and audacity like Trump. To think our law is so afraid of him. We can send boys off to fight wars, but men here can't fight for truth and honesty. Its been one hell of an eye opener.

Elon Musk is a national security risk as well because of what he owns and what he does and says.

What a mess.
