(I apologize to everyone who doesn't have Facebook, but this video just came on Facebook via Reuters)

Underneath the video
"Jailed opposition leader Alexei Navalny appeared well and cheerful as he gave testimony by videolink the day before his death."

In the very short video, he says:
"Your Honor, I will send you my personal account number so that you can use your huge federal judge's salary (laughs) to fuel my personal account because I am running out of money, (laughs again) and thanks to your decisions, it will run out even faster. So send it over."

At the end of the video, the camera pans left for a couple of seconds, showing a blurred shot of what looks like two prison guards, one of whom is smiling. Though behind bars, Navalny has his hands behind his back. (He's probably handcuffed)

He certainly didn't have to return to Russia, but he felt he needed to.

A truly brave man!

I hate the concept of martyrs. I would rather have him alive and living outside of Russia than wait to he killed.

Poor Khashoggi died as a martyr too.
