I don't post much although have shadowed this site for years before joining but watching Squawk Box this morning at 8:30 and seeing the host Joe Kernen launch into a full throat-ed denial of climate change along with one of his guests (with some vigorous push back by his younger and smarter co-host) was just too much for me. This is 2024! How do we get people like this off the air of the "liberal media". Tell me who I can complain to ar CNBC.

(10,289 posts)and if it doesn't fit their political silo then it becomes fake news. Add to that the religious beliefs that it is "god's will" and it becomes "we have no control" issue. Then you have the corporate lobbying by the fossil fuel industry that disputes reality as a necessary part of their existence and it is just reinforcement for those that want to belief it is wrong to begin with.
Lastly, I think most people are sheep - they will only do what they are forced or told to do without much effort. I have little confidence that Climate Change will become the priority it should be with distractions like war, poverty, immigration, and gun violence which are on our news daily.
I feel for younger generation because that don't know who to believe but will be victims of all of the problems we face these days. Not sure why anyone would want children these days - seems selfish to me.
