Trump would call in to the today show and Matt Lauer would allow him to call in and speak when he was running in 2016. He would take up a good part of the first half hour of the show. It made me so mad I would turn it off. They never told Hillary afterwards that she could do the same. I always had the feeling that Lauer was friends with him. Was so happy when lauer got fired.

their show and they'd give all kinds of free air time. They loved it and welcomed his calls as it was before he was absolutely insane and carry on then and it was entertaining in a weirdly insane sorta way.

It helped him get elected. It wasn't until later when they turned against him when he talked about Mika's face bleeding from plastic surgery and other crazy shit.

I think it's recent because they regularly bash trump and the republicans now as they know that party has gone so extreme right it's crazy. Mika especially on women's rights.

And from that brief clip you tell from his insane, uncontrollable talking that it's probably the current trump.

Joe would start a segment praising him and would say his name 10 times in just over a minute. He knows very well the effect of repetition. It's like the networks focusing a shot of the plane or an empty podium with the name and the flags to keep on in the background behind the talking heads during an entire 6 minute segment. They knew full well what they were doing, why and the impact it was having. There was never a more glaring display of how sexist this country is because you couldn't find anything similar for their treatment when talking about Hillary. The only things they did constantly keep in the public framing for her and any mention of her name were Benghazi and e-mails. Both of which were as empty as can be from the beginning.

The difference in framing, pushed over the edge in impact by Comey, could not have been more glaring. They knew it even to the extent of downplaying the well known issues of the Orange Ruski and his known history of racism, crooked business deals and being cozy with questionable crime figures.
