Artemis 2 is supposed to land a crew sometime in 2025 if the program moves along as scheduled. I believe this will be the first time a woman is the launch director.

She's currently the launch director on the Artemis 2 program, but that doesn't launch until 2025. Right now they are in heavy simulation mode where all groups involved in the next launch come together for intense simulation exercises to make sure everything is "working" and to fix any bugs found. My son is a software engineer for NASA at Kennedy Space Center and he said there are long days of every team coming together to run through simulations. She heads that up also. So, yes, she's the launch director now - that is her title for Artemis 2. The launch director is the ultimate say as to if a launch is a go or no-go, even down to the countdown.
