Can anybody here tell the difference between chimpanzee and human DNA?

They are 99.3% the same. So, if an IVF clinic in Alabama loses its records, how do we know that the freezer has Human DNA? A zygote is just a nutrient container with a strand of DNA. At what point do we know it's human?

Pretty sure it's a piece of cake for them to tell the difference. Do you think they can't?

And how many cells in an IVF embryo person? And if "parent" dies or deserts the embryo, what happens to it? Who supports it? Does it "live" in a clinic indefinitely? Who polices that? Big can of worms.

Are you suggesting you might get a half human half chimp hybrid?

Not like chimp eggs are easy to get, you'd need a fully capable zoo vet clinic to get those.
They would be collected for a reason, and stored safely in the zoo vet facility.

Then there is the problem of somehow getting those eggs mixed up with human eggs somewhere else.
And then losing the records. (I imagine those are backed up several times in different locations.)

Are you planning something?

So If these embryos are considered children at fertilization, can I adopt like 10000 of them that were fertilized 18 years ago and then register them to vote as democrats?

Hopeful couples invest a lot of money, time, discomfort (the injected drugs and their side effects are no fun) , hope and tears in the process. I know women for whom it was not successful, after numerous cycles of treatment.

So probably should not go there.
