Tommy Tuberville gets a brutal fact check from Alabama reporter on 'crime-ridden' New York

Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) attacked the city of New York for supposedly being crime-ridden on Tuesday, only to receive a brutal fact check from a reporter in his home state.

In a post on his Twitter account, Tuberville mocked President Joe Biden for traveling to New York this week to appear on Seth Meyers' show on NBC.

"Hope Joe Biden enjoyed going out for ice cream in NYC while the rest of the city is afraid of crime and migrants," wrote the Alabama senior senator.

However, AL.com's Kyle Whitmire was quick to inform Tuberville that their home state was far more dangerous in terms of the likelihood of being murdered than New York City.

"NYC’s homicide rate is 4.8 per 100k," he wrote. "Alabama’s homicide rate is 15.9 per 100k — more than three times that of NYC."

In fact, according to federal government statistics, the states with the three highest homicide death rates are Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana, which are all dominated by Republicans.

Many New Yorkers were quick to pile on Tuberville's attempt to trash their city and mocked him for apparently not knowing the massive crime problem in his home state...

Those pesky facts got in the way once again, Tommy.

Alabama elected a gym teacher and they got a guy who thinks he's a sociologist.
Here in Illinois, about 40 miles from here, the rubes elected a gym teacher, got a speaker of the house, who went to jail for sexual crimes.
Maybe we should stop electing gym teachers to congress.

Sadly, the GOP and their voters don't care about facts. Tune into fox or read right wing comments and you'll see they have swallowed this BS hook, line, and sinker.

The notion that ALL large cities in blue states are dangerous, crime ridden hellholes is an article of faith with the MAGA crowd, regardless of the actual facts.

This was an online exchange that reaches a tiny sliver of the voters. He needs to be exposed for all of his ignorance and how dangerous his remarks are. He should take a seat because we don't need any more dumming down. We can't afford to be any dummer.

It is beginning to look like the 'Biden Re-election Committee' is starting to quickly strike back at the BS that is being barfed out by the RePukes.
THIS is what needs to be done - every bit of BS needs to be called out and made known - and that needs to be done at EVERY LEVEL - EVERY STATE!

Tubby is an ASS - and he needs to be told that - and every citizen in his OWN state (wherever that is!) needs to hear that - backed by FACTS!!!!!

We need to KICK A$$! Enough of the 'Proper Gentlemen' bullshit - kick 'em where it hurts - FACTS - and MORE FACTS - and HOW THEY LIE!

GAWD-DAYUM - the PRESS should be doing this - enough of the 'BOTH SIDES' bullshit - OUR SIDE wants a free DEMOCRACY!

Clip of Tommy Tuberville falling down stairs elicits reminders of all the times he mocked Biden

Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Al., has been metaphorically summoned by the karma police after a clip of him falling down some airplane stairs calls to memory the many times he mocked President Biden for his own ambulatory accidents.

Tuberville's tumble took place on Wednesday while exiting the aircraft, at which point he appears to have lost his footing, causing him to slide down quite a distance, losing his grip on the luggage he'd been grasping in each hand as he made his way down.

As Newsweek points out in their coverage of this clip, Tuberville yucked it up with reporters back in July over Biden experiencing a similar difficulty, saying, "You watch Joe Biden over in Europe. I mean, I'm afraid he's going to fall down every time I turn on television." And it seems as though Biden's supporters took today's opportunity to draw some comparisons and offer some reminders.
