Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) accused President Joe Biden of running a "crime family" mere hours before her own son was arrested on a multitude of charges. Writing on Twitter on Tuesday, Boebert declared that "the Biden Crime Family will go down as the most corrupt political family in American history."
Shortly afterward, her 18-year-old son Tyler Boebert was arrested and charged with four counts of criminal possession of a financial device, four counts of criminal possession of ID documents, and a count of conspiracy to commit a felony. Many of Boebert's Twitter followers were quick to pounce on her attack on Biden after news of her son's arrest began to spread.
"I guess Lauren Boebert posted this before the police station called her to come bail out her son," wrote one follower. "She put this out on the same day her 18 year old son was arrested and charged with 20 plus criminal acts (again)," commented another. "But do go on, Congresswoman." Another follower commented that Boebert's post on the "Biden Crime Family" "aged like a bowl of milk on a Death Valley trailer roof."
Boebert's personal life has been under the microscope over the last several months after she was ejected from a Denver performance of the "Beetlejuice" musical for vaping and groping her date in the theater.

(7,811 posts)1. Opening her big mouth time and time again on political issues that she knows very little or nothing about.
2. Ignoring her current constituents in her current district. While seeing a new district is better to maintain the seat in Congress.
3. Putting on a public display seen by thousands. She has never matured into a responsible adult from a teen romp in the backseat.
4. Arguing with MTG, who isn't intellectually equipped to serve in Congress.
Having a big mouth and poor political skills doesn't serve their constituents' needs.

(5,068 posts)She's done anyway. 4th District is clearly not impressed with her. I suppose she'll be on the RW wingnut speech circuit and vacation with Sarah Palin.

(47,623 posts)The people at my company who are authorized to send wires each have a device that generates new tokens every 30 seconds or so. It's an added layer of multi-factor security.
Another possibility is there are devices that can read the magnetic strip off credit cards or capture the Bluetooth transmission for tap-to-pay

(12,667 posts)There are several calls to 911 and domestic complaints about the boy being beaten and threatened with weapons. That's why she was able to get a restraining order against the father.
Is it any surprise he turned into a criminal? That poor kid. Getting away from his parents is his only hope for a normal life. But it might be too late

(3,720 posts)Let's not forget her unwed son, when he was 17, impregnated a girl. Though no one can confirm the girl's age, statements from Lauren herself point to the girl as being 15. Since the son was under 18, and the girl was over 14, the "Romeo and Juliet" laws regarding age of consent don't trigger any prosecution.
Lauren then said she wouldn't "nitpick" the bible's right-and-wrong admonitions all while saying that church should direct the government.
Lauren became pregnant when she was 17.
And I'm seeing nothing from the political right that criticizes her an any meaningful way. The entire conservative movement in this country is a trainwreck.
