Does anyone really think Haley has enough to stop Trump?

I think at this point the answer is no. If she'd had more guts a few months back to hit him hard, she might have. But she waited until the sky was falling on her before she did anything.

One good thing, though: At the least, I think she'll convert some Repughs (and more independents) to not vote for Trump in November. And I still think indies don't want Trump at all.

I don't know if her campaign knows anything about his health, but they could think the odds favor Haley. For anyone paying attention, Trump is deteriorating rather quickly. It makes one wonder how republicans fill the gap if Trump has to pull out of the race. Then you have Nikki Haley keeping her face and name out there. It would be so easy for her to take over.

Personally, I don't see how Trump makes it until November without having a complete meltdown or possibly even a stroke.

She is just learning the lines, and getting familiar with the actors and the set.

If stinky can't go on, she will be ready to step in and play the part for the base.

Or so she thinks. Bannon, stone, Cruz, and a hundred other despicable asshats will shiv her the moment she thinks she is about to step on stage.

She talks to adults using a tone that kindergarten teachers use when addressing their students.

She regularly makes the dumbest, most offensive comments and then tries to backtrack when she's called out on it. She doesn't understand that we have something called video.

Magats won't coalesce around her if she's the nominee.

But even if she somehow managed to become the nominee and get elected, I stand by what I've been saying for the past however many years: There is no republican, I repeat no republican more dangerous than trump because he's an ignorant amoral narcissist who doesn't understand cause and effect. He doesn't understand history. He will literally kill us all if he's given another chance. Thank God covid wasn't any more lethal than it was or we'd all be dead right now. Next time it might not be a pandemic, it might be a nuclear fall out of some kind. He is too ignorant to be in that white house and he's surrounded by idiots as well.

if the Grim Reaper takes the Donald off the board. Even then then she’d still lose a couple of red-state primaries as the MAGA faithful pay their last respects to the guy facing the Judge of Souls as his life’s works face the scrutiny of someone who can’t be bought off by right-wing bull 5h1t.

Ammit was the Egyptian idea of the punishment of the soul. The name means "devourer" or "soul-eater."Ammit was usually known as 'The Devourer of the Dead' or the 'Eater of Hearts'. Ammit was believed to eat any souls found to have sinned. They would then be digested for eternity in acid.

Her utility comes from being a bug in Trump's ass. As long as she's in it's more difficult for the Trump's to use RNC funds for legal fees. And if he loses a little more of his mind wondering where her husband is, is that such a bad thing?

She can't win in the general effectively making her an agent of chaos in the repuke primary.

... she is getting money, so she stays. Maybe she's thinking of 2028. If anything happens, the Trump delegates will chew her up and spit her out... they are not interested in her. If Crooked Donald is taken from the fanatics, they will bring in someone else. It's good that Nikki's still running, however, because her words about Trump do reach a wider audience.
