Why do some media outlets desperately need a Trump victory? Simple: money.

Legacy TV news media is dying a very fast death. There was a time not so long ago when the three evening news anchors were household names. I'm 60, and I can name them, Tom Brokaw (NBC), Peter Jennings (ABC), and Dan Rather (CBS). Today, I know Lester Holt and have no idea of who's on the other channels.

Many of the current anchors on TV receive enormous salaries based on what anchors made years ago. Some of these anchors are getting paid like pro athletes and top movie stars without any of the name recognition. Yet, most people (esp. young people) have no idea who some of these anchors are. Hence, this is why they need Trump. He brings in ratings for them.

They see Trump as their salvation.

See article:

Top CNN earners include prime-time anchor Anderson Cooper, who makes an estimated $20 million a year; Wolf Blitzer, who earns about $15 million; Jake Tapper, who pulls in more than $8.5 million; and Chris Wallace, who makes about $8 million, two insiders said. Other co-anchors, including John Berman, Kate Bolduan and Sara Sidner, make in the $1 million to $2 million range

of the million pharmaceutical ads we have to sit through.

They personally benefit more from Trump’s tax rates than where Biden wants them. That has to influence them.

Has anyone tried hiring investigative journalists at a reasonable salary without kowtowing to big businesses? Rhetorical.

from a multi-millionaire. That right there is a major problem. Getting news and views from people who are
so far economically removed from me. How on earth is that representative?

Is it any wonder why they do bothsiderism "journalism"? They'll gladly hold their nose and get bullied by Trump if it means a lower inheritance tax.
