I wonder if Trump has considered the downside of...

..his "Absolute Presidential Immunity" argument?

If SCOTUS rules in his favor, Biden could decide to stay in office indefinitely.

I think it was just another thing for his legal team to throw at the wall, hoping it would cause delays. Mission accomplished.

He says a lot of stuff I'm pretty sure even he doesn't believe.

This is the advantage Trump has over us.

He is completely without scruples, but knows his Democratic opponents will play by the rules he's willing to ignore.

Is the fact that he claims to believe that he has it.

This should be used in many campaign advertisements against him:

TRUMP CLAIMS HE IS ABOVE THE LAW!

TRUMP BELIEVES HE HAS ABSOLUTE IMMUNITY

TRUMP'S LAWYERS SAY HE COULD NOT BE PROSECUTED EVEN IF HE HAD POLITICAL OPPONENTS ASSASINATED!

We should never stop reminding voters that HE claims he can do these things,

..SCOTUS is going to rule on whether Trump's dirty deeds were within the "outer perimeter of Presidential duties" rather than blanket immunity for anything a President does. Some of those justices seem very talented at interpreting Constitutional language and precedents to come up with whatever decision they want to make.
