Just last week, Donald Trump's lawyers filed an emergency petition to either stay the requirement that he post bond to prevent the judgment from being executed in the NY fraud case, or reduce the amount he is required to post.

In those court filings, Trump's lawyers said he was only able to come up with $100 million in cash towards the roughly $400 million he would need to post. They went on to say that if he was forced to come up with the rest he would have to sell off some of his properties, which would cause him "irreparable harm."

But Trump doesn't want the Fox viewers to know that he doesn't have the cash, so he tells a completely different story on TV. This morning, he went on Fox and Friends and said that he has plenty of money to cover the bond but he just doesn't want to put it up because the whole case is unfair. Of course, they never asked him about the contradiction in his court filing stating he doesn't have the money, which has been reported by every media outlet in the country.

He CANNOT admit that he doesn't have the money, but he doesn't want to pay the money. This is where his lies start to come into direct conflict with each other.

Trump likely does not have the cash to put out, but if he doesn't then it brings up the question of how much he actually has. He doesn't want to sell his assets because he would likely not get what he wants out of that, AND it would open up the books on how leveraged he is on his properties, again calling into question how rich he actually is.

He needs to brag and needs to present himself as a good business person because that is his brand (to the idiots) but he also doesn't want to have to put up the money. So he is whining, and begging, and trying to delay but he is actually being held to account and it is really messing with him.

It is interesting and amusing to watch.
