It's the same thing that Trump supporters are saying. They are saying that they are voting for him because he has not been convicted of anything. Even though of course we know Trump is a criminal. I think the same could be applied to Menendez. He has not been convicted but there was overwhelming evidence of crimes and I think that is enough to ask him to resign.

One uncomfortable thing is Tammy is the wife of the governor. I guess if zm
Menendez choses to resign,, the best thing might be if the governor appoints someone committed to not running in the primary.. I don't know the last day to join the race,, but it may soon be too late- meaning if the governor picks someone not on the ballot, NJ can have a race not impacted by the governor's choice.

months ago. Now it's too late for a replacment to have a real incumbent advantage.

And he's probably going to lose the election because of all this corruption.
