But the judge hasn't ruled on two motions for a stay yet. One for 30 days, and another for 3 days.

Realistically, the process itself will take months. Their will need to be motions, hearings, appeals, and finally a ruling.

Then an auction.

It will still be dragging on by election time.

He has to sign off on it and then they can commence paperwork to start the sale.

Read that somewhere; can’t remember exactly where.

There are other interested parties that will need to be heard from, so hearings will be held.

In most of his properties, he is a minority partner. So the other partners have rights in the building that will have to be considered. Also, banks and lenders will have to be heard. Any lies holders will have to be discovered. Etc.

It won't be a one day hearing for a big building. Maybe a bank account, but not a building.

and his real estate is probably encumbered or jointly owned. It's a fairly complicated process. If he doesn't post a bond the process can start, but it will take quite awhile to complete.
