I am glad he is taking advantage of the ocean

access to help Palestinians. I have many questions.

For instance, I don't see how we will do this without the permission of Israel. This worries me--you see why? I think we have permission.

I think the Gaza citizens are going to be removed to the beaches when things are ready. Much more than a pier was mentioned. I am uneasy about this. But, we will be able to alleviate a lot of misery very quickly.

What will we do if someone fires on us? At this point, it could be either side. Quite frankly, I'm worried about us having to fight Hamas on the beaches, but that would be a big mistake by them. I am hoping that some defensive measures are taken.

I think this is the best news! I, of course, wanted a designer pier for the tourists in New Gaza! But, I'll take what I can get. Maybe they can use landing craft to deliver food and water while it is being built. You have to hand it to Joe, for a brilliant, temp solution. Not saying that he thought it up alone, but he's getting it done!

" President Biden's decision to do this has me concerned."
"We will have to establish security where the port hits land as well as for the water all around. There is a very increased chance of a terrorist attack on the port or the ships that service the port. I am not against it and I am all for helping as much as we can but I am still concerned. Thinking past that it could be that Biden is doing this with the knowledge that it may happen and thus justify us entering the war of which I am not against either as I have stated previously. I am pretty sure we can do a much better job with less civilian casualties than is happening now. As with any military operation they plot out the possible scenarios and responses so I wouldn't be surprised if they have already thought of that."

I didn't know you posted this. We are thinking alike, here! Joe pledged no boots on the ground, is that right? Seems tricky to me, but I think they should do it. Did you notice how Jordan also did air drops? They might fly sorties, guessing.

goes out the door if we are attacked doing a humanitarian effort. Other countries are going to stand up the longer this goes on as well. If Egypt enters then its fucked and the more time and the killing of civilians proceeds the more that is likely to happen. Better we stand up and do it first and keep them from doing so. Its a gamble. If things go on as they are will it spread? If we join will it spread? I would say that we have way more cred with the ME countries than Israel and we have a better military and a better supported military. The chances of us knocking out HAMAS are higher, we will have less civilian casualties and the chances of us angering the ME countries is less than Israel. Most of them have written off Hamas anyways but the civ casualties are their concern. And the money and arms they get from us. To those who think that Israel would do a better job than us imagine if the state of Detroit rebelled. Do you think that 5 months later Detroit would still be in rebellion?

except that we never entered Ukraine, either, although I think we have had advisors there. These are two different situations, of course, but we have been following a hands off policy. Both are equally important. We've had our first shipping deaths in the Red Sea. We have already experienced soldiers' deaths. Someone's going to think they can take us, and find out that they can't. Other countries will be glad to let us do it alone. They are, however, joined at the hip with us in the Red Sea. So, I dunno. Terribly glad that Joe's handling this and not Trump.
