with the silver, helmet-like hair? She kept showing up right near Joe and often in the foreground on the TV screen. Wonder if she was security?
She was in so many of the shots.

she was e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e.
I didn't think she looked tall, though. She had a serious demeanor, that seemed to be enough.
on edit, so new readers to this thread know who we're talking about:

(36,168 posts)has great hair! So did this security person, which I am sure she was because as I think back on it, her eyes were everywhere. You could just see how her mind was working, working, working.
on edit:
and speaking of security, Joe Biden's security detail is very well orchestrated, according to my neighbor who watched his appearance (I think it was Tues) from the 16th floor of his high-rise office building in Manhattan. He took videos and pictures with his phone and I was so blown away by how the security people think of everything. They had boats in the water, they had helicopters, they had a skazillion cops. It was a sea of cops, my friend said.
When they whisked him from the helicopter to the building, it happened so fast you could only see a blur.
I asked if I could post the pics here but he said no because he was thinking some security officer might come knocking at the door! LOL. I hardly think so, but hey, they're his pics, not mine. I was gobsmacked, as they say.

Karen H. Gibson is the Sergeant at Arms of the United States Senate and a retired military intelligence officer.
Career
Gibson served in the United States Army for 33 years, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant General. Prior to her appointment as sergeant at arms, Gibson served as the deputy Director of National Intelligence for national security partnerships, director of intelligence for United States Central Command, director of intelligence for the Combined Joint Task Force, and deputy commanding general for the United States Army Cyber Command.
A seasoned combat veteran, Ms. Gibson led intelligence-operations fusion centers in Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, East Africa, and in the United States.[7]
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced the appointment of Gibson as sergeant at arms of the United States Senate in March 2021.[8] She had recently worked with Russel L. Honoré to make recommendations for Congress in the wake of the 2021 storming of the United States Capitol.[4] Gibson is the second woman to serve as the Senate Sergeant at Arms. Gibson, her deputy, Kelly Fado, and Chief of Staff, Jennifer Hemingway, are the first all-female team occupying the Senate's top three security posts.[4]
